A Hip Hacienda Wedding in Seville

Here in Spain on a pretty gloomy cloudy day we love nothing more than receiving photos of our fabulous, glorious hot summer weddings!

This day was certainly no exception, in the heat of Seville at the end of July at one of my favourite venues, the gorgeous Hacienda San Rafael were hosting the wedding of Nicole and Andrew and the Reviva team rocked up to put many finishing touches to their day.

We had been working the day before in Malaga in a very hot venue which was hitting 56 degrees by the afternoon so I have to admit I was rather dreading heading up to Seville the next day but was pleasantly surprised to find it was only in the early 40's with a slight breeze and luckily, Nicole and Andrew being sensible people had decided not to start their wedding until 8pm!

We can never stress to our clients how hot it does get here and to plan accordingly.

Nicole had contacted us to help her with her styling and some aspects of her planning to make sure her day went as smoothly as possible and she knew we worked at this beautiful venue a lot.

We created personalised signs, dressed the chairs with Spanish lace, and created the magical twinkly setting in the dining area dressing the trees with lanterns, crystal fairy lights and chandeliers.  We ordered her wedding flowers from a florist we know and work with in Seville and made sure everything went smoothly.

Whilst Nicole had planned most of her wedding herself, we assisted Nicole with various suppliers, plenty of wedding advice and jumped in to help her when her make up artist had double booked and she had to fly over to Spain to find a new one.

I do giggle when I arrive the next day to find our couples have lost their voices and are trying their best to entertain their guests and this was no exception but it was a delight to see how thrilled they were and what a fabulous evening they had enjoyed with their close family and friends.

Our congratulations to Nicole and Andrew and thank you to Richard at Elan Images for such fabulous photos.

Geometric Trend for Weddings

We love watching trends and noticed this year Geometrics have not just taken the interior world by storm but are also now being incorporated into weddings.  There are some fabulous light fittings and the new Edison style lightbulbs are to die for but that is another story!

Origami shapes, triangles and angular designs are everywhere now on Pinterest so having dug out my favourites, my top inspiration so far has to be these gorgeous images and ideas from Bloved.  I love this fresh colour scheme and the designs for the cakes are perfect along with the cute arrow details.

Do head over to Bloved to see the entire post for some lovely inspiration.

A Pretty Cool Wedding at Castillo de Santa Catalina, Malaga

I aptly name this a cool wedding as it was so sparkly and fabulous however anything but cool as the temperatures by the afternoon were sizzling, humid and hitting 50 degrees in the courtyard of the stunning Castillo de Santa Catalina in Malaga.

I could not even move without sweating, in fact not moving promoted sweating so kept making excuses to visit Farah and her girls getting ready in their air conditioned rooms!

That was a treat in itself watching them merrily prepare for the wedding celebrations with their stunningly beautiful outfits and jewellery.

We had been introduced to Farah by Perfect Spanish Weddings to help her style and decorate her wedding day with a beautiful blush and gold theme and were hyperventilating when she sent us photos of her stunning blush wedding dress, it was absolutely beautiful.

I worked with Farah to design the wedding decor she really wanted but within her budget constraints to achieve the maximum impact, we focused on the florals, which were very important to her, and added a few details to create an overall luxury design for her wedding day.

The beautiful bouquets were created using hydrangeas and roses along with tall centrepieces using the same florals which were placed on top of tall glassware cylinders filled with gold gypsophelia and blush dyed water.

The table seating plan was designed by us using a Hand of Fatima theme decorated with soft pink and gold crystals and we created matching Hand of Fatima paddle fans for the ceremony which can be seen on our Instagram page. A rather dodgy photo taken by me but we try!

The tables were beautifully dressed with our gold charger plates and we finished the napkins with blush ribbons and individual place cards again with the Hand of Fatima design to compliment the paddle fans and table seating plan.

Finally we also provided props for the dessert table including a blush sequin table cover, pink cake stands and glass apothecary jars.

It was a wonderful day and our thanks to Perfect Spanish Weddings for recommending us to design and decorate Farah's fabulous wedding and to Jeremy Standley for these gorgeous photos to share with you.

You will be pleased to hear I did not steal any donuts although I was sorely tempted the opportunity did not arise to sneak up and get close to them :)
